As the summer holidays fast approach it can be hard to know where to go and what to do in the six weeks. Trying to schedule it all in at once can be difficult as well as trying to factor in the weather and events that won’t break the bank.
Saxe Coburg have found some wonderful and cost effective activities and events to visit and enjoy and we think it’s worth checking some of them out.
Bournemouth and Poole Selfie Wall Trail – FREE ACTIVITY
This summer, Bournemouth and Poole’s award-winning seafront has been transformed into a work of art! All you need is your phone and your friends and family!
Thanks to local gallery, Ambassadeur Art, a variety of artists have created a series of murals that make fun and colourful backdrops for your selfies. The Selfie Wall Trail stretches from Sandbanks all the way to Southbourne meaning wherever you are on the seafront, the perfect selfie opportunity isn’t far away.
Follow the trail on foot, by bike or aboard our famous land trains and don’t forget to take a pit stop – there are plenty of seafront cafés and restaurants along the way.
They are encouraging everyone to take amazing selfies in front of one of the 11 walls located along our award-winning seafront. At the end of the summer the best selfie will win a fantastic grand prize. Use #loveselfiewalls with your selfies!

The Bournemouth Air Festival is one of the biggest highlights of the year, previously winning ‘Event of the Year’ at the Dorset Tourism Awards.
The four day event has been voted as one of the top ten air shows in the world and best of all it’s free!
Featuring an array of military and civilian aircraft performing some amazing flying and stunts over the bay, the festival attracts some world class display teams.
In addition to the flying there is 1.5 miles of trading stands, food and drink stalls, a funfair and Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and Army villages where you can get up close to military vehicles and weapons. Plus there will be some fabulous entertainment on the stage and two firework displays!
We hope you can visit just some of these events and really embrace what Bournemouth has to offer over the coming months.
