We’ve got yellow fever in the Saxe Coburg offices! All because we’ve ‘gone yellow’ in aid of Lewis-Manning Hospice.
Did you know the colour yellow is synonymous with the hospice movement? That’s why, we’ve teamed up with Lewis-manning Hospice in Sandbanks to show support in the month of February, and today our Team has gone yellow!
Lewis-manning are asking local businesses to ‘Go Yellow’ in a variety of ways, from fancy dress, to baking yellow cakes, to dying their hair yellow, wearing yellow accessories, and so on. There are no limitations to this initiave and we say the crazier, the better!
If you don’t have anything easily available, there is also the opportunity to purchase yellow ribbon pins from any Lewis-Manning Hospice shop locally.
As a company, we have so much respect for Lewis-manning Hospice. They offer aroud the clock care to those who are terminally ill. The hospice provide care for anyone within the Dorset area.
The founder of Lewis-Manning Hospice, Marjorie Lewis-Manning was a true pioneer for end of life care. Marjorie was a local businesswoman and dedicated fundraiser, who led £3 million to be raised for two body scanners in Poole Hospital, which is now named the Lewis-Manning Scanner Suite. Marjorie worked tirelessly to create a Hospice that promotes acceptance, hope and peace of mind in a safe and calming environment. She left her Sandbanks home to trustees, with the one wish that the property became a fully-functioning Hospice.
Lewis-Manning Hospice has a range of services run by its team of palliative care nurses, which includes End of Life Care, Day Hospice (specialist nursing care, physiotherapy, creative arts and complementary therapy), Lymphoedema Clinic, Better Breathing Clinic and Physiotherapy Clinic. Lewis-Manning Hospice is also developing new services all the time and this includes education, and support groups for families and carers.
We believe, Lewis-manning Hospice is making a real difference in our community. We hope you’ll get behind the Go Yellow campaign too!
