Our good friends at Ambassadeur Art Gallery have teamed up with Bournemouth Tourism to create Bournemouth’s biggest-ever public street art project in the form of one of our favourite superheroes, Spider-Man.
The project took several months in planning and began on Monday this week with Ambassadeur Art’s resident artists, Iain Alexander and Dairo Vargas working with local street artist, Miroslav Lucan, chalking out the design in the morning. Students from the Arts University Bournemouth then joined the artists all day on Tuesday to help with the painting.
Specifically, artist Iain Alexander has been working with our company Saxe Coburg for almost a year. We showcased his work at our own event with Mercedes-Benz and as a Lifestyle Partner we promote his incredible work. His diamond-dust creations are show-stoppers and if you are looking to start or develop your art collection, or find a unique gift for a loved, Iain Alexander comes highly recommended. You can view his full profile here.
Jon Weaver, head of marketing and events for Bournemouth Tourism commented: “For Bournemouth, the whole project has been a huge success from start to finish. It’s been great for us to work with the Arts University and Ambassadeur Art Gallery on such a fun installation. There was a holiday atmosphere at this morning’s launch, with children and adults coming down to Pier Approach in their superhero costumes and we hope that locals and tourists alike will continue to enjoy this brilliant piece of street art in the last weeks of the summer season.”
It’s a spectacle to be marvelled at this summer – make sure you pay Spider-Man a visit!
